We welcome you to journey with us, a community of spiritual friends and seekers from many walks of life, to the 34th annual Mendocino Sufi Camp. At our core resides a jewel, the perfection of our essence and our connection with the divine. Just as the lotus blossom emerges from the darkness of the mud, we rise in mystery toward the light. Prophet Mohammed states, "I was a hidden treasure and I wished to be known." With the grace of God, the guidance of our inspired teaching staff, and the support of our whole Sufi family, we help each other awaken to our true nature and illuminate the jewel within our heart.

Where the ocean depths meet the land, where the wisdom depths of the unconscious meet the waking mind, we will meet to share and explore our dreams, to find precious pearls of awareness that support healing and growth. Dreams contain messages from the Spirit of Guidance, messages from and about body, mind, heart, and soul. Azima will share ways of better remembering dreams and understanding the sometimes mysterious wisdom they offer. All are welcome, novices and those experienced in exploring dreams.

Azima has been deeply involved in working with dreams, her own and others’, for 35 years. Her approaches to dreams draw on the work of Carl Jung, Fritz Perls (Gestalt), Jeremy Taylor, and others, as well as research into ancient Sufi dream practices.

It is not necessary to turn the merchant into a musician nor compel
the artist to be a mechanic. Perfection of any task leads to
perfection of quality and perfection of quality leads to realization
of perfection in essence. This is the task of every soul together
with the need to praise God every step of the way. All the
metaphysics and theology are but the forms -- higher or lower -- with
which teachings are clothed, but the teachings are Life itself.
