Imbolc is a time for planting the seeds of our hopes and dreams for the coming summer months. A time for purification in preparation for new growth. Location is 4038 Green Valley School Rd. From Sebastopol: Take Hwy 116 north out of Sebastopol, go about a half mile past Graton Rd and turn left onto Green Valley Rd. Then go 1.7 miles and turn left onto Green Valley School Rd. After 0.2 miles on the right hand side of the road you will see a well-marked driveway with the numbers 3990, 4008, 4038. Turn right into the driveway and follow the road, which bends to the right, to 4038.

Pir Shabda Kahn is a Sufi teacher and leader of the Sufi Ruhaniat International. He is a master of the music of India and the West, and a master of the tuning of the heart.

At these monthly events Shabda and friends lead us in Dance of Universal Peace and in Zikr, the most universal of Sufi practices. With simple chants and movements we experience the jewels of the divine qualities within each of us, each a blessing from the Beloved.

No experience is necessary to participate, and all are welcome.

Join us for the Dances of Universal Peace, also known as 'Sufi Dancing'. Move into your heart as we celebrate and experience the diverse spiritual paths of the earth. We sing sacred phrases from a wide range of spiritual traditions, while doing easy-to-learn dances. There are no performers, and no audience. New arrivals and old hands join together to form the circle. The dances are taught as we go along, no experience necessary.
